Introduction to Chaotic Dynamical Systems, Second Edition

This was a very instructive book. It starts with the one dimensional discrete dynamical systems then explores 2/3 D systems and ends on complex dynamical systems with exploration of Julia sets and the Mandelbrot set.

In my aspirational tendency, this book quickly became difficult for me. However, the definitions, the consistency of approach and the figures accompanying the text meant that I am left with a better understanding of chaos and dynamical systems than I started and I am keen to continue to improve this.

I took this one as far as I could and hit a wall also. Great book. I learned a lot from what I could process. But it got away from me.

Thank you for your comment, Jason. That was my experience.
