Elementary Differential Geometry

This is a very good textbook. The author focuses on curves and surfaces in two and three dimensions.  There is an emphasis on clear exposition. There is a systematic progression from curves to surfaces. Theorema Egregium and the  Gauss-Bonnet theorems are the culminations of the stepwise progression. Ruled surfaces, minimal surfaces, spherical and hyperbolic geometry (half-plane, Poincare disk and Beltrami models) are also discussed.

There are exercises that flow well in the text (with hints and answers at the end).
