Cycles of Time

I have read a number of popular science books by Professor Penrose.  This book starts with, perhaps, the best exposition of entropy I have ever read. The central role of the second law of Thermodynamics motivates this. Thereafter,  the book escalates in difficulty and complexity (to me). The frequent use of diagrams helped my understanding. However, I freely admit to being overwhelmed.

Conformal cyclic cosmology (CCC) does seem a very interesting proposal for the pre-Big Bang and distant future: aeon dove-tailing into aeon…The tantalizing possible supportive evidence of a ‘finger print’ of the pre-Big Bang  in statistical analysis of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation means “watch this space”…
